English 20K gold repeater in repoussé pair cases Circa 1740

An English gold key wind repeating pair cased pocket watch with repoussé decoration, circa 1740. Engraved gilt full plate fusee verge movement, pierced and engraved balance cock, diamond end stone, silver regulation, polished hammers. Later white enamel dial, black Roman numerals, black outer minute track and gilt spade hands. Polished inner case with foliate engraved and pierced band, silver dust cap, repoussé outer case depicting a classical wedding with a winged cherub placing a laurel. Movement and dust cap signed.
