Silver open faced pocket watch in pair cases by George Graham

An English silver key wind open faced pocket watch in pair cases, circa 1740, later case with London hallmark for 1775. Gilt full plate cylinder movement, pierced and engraved balance cock, square baluster pillars, diamond end stone, silver regulation. Later, there was a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, a black outer minute track with Arabic numeral 5-minute markers, a blued steel beetle and poker hands. The associated polished inner and outer case, dust cap, and monogram to the back of the router. Dial, movement and cap signed, case stamped IB.

The movement on this particular Graham is unusual in that it has three dial feet as opposed to the normal four. This watch appears in Jeremys Evans well, well-known Thomas Tompion at the Dial and Three Crowns.
