A Swiss 18 carat gold key wind open faced musical and repeating pocket watch for the Turkish market, circa 1850. Cylinder movement, 3 armed balance, two polished hammers striking on two gongs, music playing on disc with individually screwed tines. White enamel dial, black Turkish numerals, outer minute track and blued steel hands. Engine turned hinged case, reeded band, push repeat to stem, slide button at 2 for music silence and 11 for locking repeat function. Case stamped ‘FLB’.
