A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel hunting cased keywound lever watch with enamel portrait of Sultan Abdülmecid I, circa 1850. Gilt finished keywound straight line lever movement with finely foliage engraved bridges and going barrel, 10 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance. Engine turned foliage decorated cuvette. White enamel and painted polychrome enamel floral decorated dial with blue and gilt Turkish numerals, subsidiary seconds, stylized gold hands. Case with polychrome champlevé enamel scroll and foliage decorated rims, pendant and bow, painted polychrome enamel portait of Sultan Abdülmecid I to the front, the back with translucent pink enamel over an engine turned background, centred by painted polychrome enamel trophy of musical instruments. Case numbered, cuvette signed and numbered.
