Rare silver and gold open faced perpetual calendar

A rare, large and unusual French silver and gold perpetual calendar watch with equation of time indication, circa 1825. Skeletonized gilt brass movement, annular wheel to the centre, driven by a worm gear controlled by the button in the pendant, fixed to this wheel, a blued steel skeletonized equation cam moving a spring loaded rack meshing with equation wheel. Silver dial calibrated for months and days of the month indicated by the blued steel moon style hand, second hand with sun shaped tip indicating the relevant equation of time. Large silver case, rose gold rims, gold bow. Case numbered and stamped with the casemaker’s initials for Louis Joly.
