Gold and enamel hunting cased lever by James Perret

A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel hunting cased keywound lever watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1860. Mechanical lever movement. Gilt cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Engraved case, front cover with polychrome enamel portrait of a lady surrounded by a black enamel border with engraved garland, back cover with translucent dark blue guilloché enamel, background with sunburst design, gilt ribbon and floral motif to the center, matching black enamel border with engraved garland, curved coin edge band. Cuvette, dial and movement signed, cuvette and case numbered.
