A rare French silver and tortoise shell pair cased quarter repeating verge watch with six bell music, circa 1720. Two tier brass movement, verge movement, chain fusée, pinned cylinder playing a tune on six hammers on six bells, quarter repeat activated through the pendant. Silver champlevé dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic five minute divisions. Inner case pierced and engraved, outer tortoise shell.
