A rare and extravagant repoussé French Oignon with Renaissance scenes “The god of wine”, negative winding through the dial and original key, circa 1720.
Silver case with repoussé scene; central figures with the god of wine and a putto, rocailles, grapes, busts, portraits and birds. Early, signed on plate, French verge movement with different animals and heads. White enamel dial with rare “negative” winding shaft, corresponding original special silver key, also with renaissance decoration, original Poker & Beetle steel hands, Roman hours and Arabic minutes.
