A fine and rare American 14 carat rose gold hunting cased keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1880. Nickel finished damascened jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, Church type I micrometer regulator, safety pinion. Rose gold cuvette. Unusual white enamel dial with gilt shadowed Arabic numerals, abstract gray design throughout, subsidiary seconds and Louis XV hands. Engine turned and engraved case, Engine turned central zone with engraved floral motives to both sides, engraved rims with scroll design, engraved band, hinged back. Case signed B.W.C.Co., dial and movement signed, case and movement numbered.
