A French gold and enamel open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1790. Full plate gilt finished verge movement, chain fusée, three armed balance pierced and engraved balance cock, silvered regulator dial. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer calibrated minute track and gilt hands. Polychrome enamel portrait with mother and child to the case back, the front bezel with white, green and black enamel geometric motif, white enamel strips to pendant. Movement signed.
