Gold hunter with duplex escapement

A fine and slim Swiss, 18 Carat gold quarter repeating pocket watch with duplex escapement, circa 1840. Accompanied by two winding keys, various letters and explanations about the duplex escapement. The case has a coin edge band, polished bezel, engine turned back with polished border, central monogrammed cartouche and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel fleur-de-lys hands. Frosted gilt movement, duplex escapement with gold escape wheel, bi metallic balance, flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
Signed dial, case numbered.
