A fine and unusual Swiss, 18K gold montre de médaillon pendant watch, circa 1820. Both covers are engine-turned, reeded band, the front cover with a glazed aperture for the dial, and the back with a small central engraved monogram AC, the front cover opening to reveal an engine-turned gold plate and winding aperture. White enamel dial, annular, eccentric, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions engraved on the border, engine-turned centre. Blued steel spear and baton hands. A matte gilt movement, standing barrel, jewelled cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, flat balance spring, and index regulator. Movement signed.
