A very fine French, 18K gold, enamel and pearl-set pendant watch, circa 1790. In a Louis XVI case, the bezel is set with large pearls, the back overlaid with translucent violet enamel over sunray engine-turning, gold paillon border, outer border set with large pearls to match the bezel. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer dot minute divisions and Arabic 15-minute numerals. Fancy gold hands. A matte gilt, full plate movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock with blued steel endplate, silvered regulation dial. Movement signed.
