A very large and heavy, gold English pocket watch with a quarter repeater activated through a slide on the band, circa 1860. Circular 18-Carat gold, engine turned hunting case. Silver dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, centre and the outermost in applied gold floral decoration, subsidiary sunk dial for the seconds and spade hands. Movement with cylinder escapement, fusee with chain, bimetallic steel and brass balance with adjustment.
