Gold free-sprung keyless fusee pocket watch with up/down dial

An English free-sprung keyless fusee lever with power reserve indication in a gold open-faced case, hallmarked London circa 1877. Gilt half-plate keyless movement with fusee and chain. Harrison’s maintaining power. Plain cock with diamond endstone, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. White enamel dial with subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, and gold hands. Plain case, interesting gold cuvette engraved with initials detailing how the watch has been passed down from 1878 to 1955. Maker’s mark ‘PW’ in an oval.
