An early pair cased clockwatch with quarter hour self strike made by Timothy Williamson in London, England, circa 1770. Both cases of this watch are crafted from gilt, the outer case has pierced and engraved bezels, the inner case has a pierced and engraved band and a lateral lever for muting the sound, the restored white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, Arabic five minutes and decorative gilt hands. The numbered, elaborately decorated movement has a fine cylinder escapement, a diamond endstone and strikes the quarter hours on a bell.
