Gold pair cased open faced pocket watch

A fine English gold and enamel pair cased quarter repeating cylinder pocket watch, circa 1760. Fire gilt full plate movement with applied engraved ornaments, key-winding, chain/fusee, two hammers, moulded pillars, cylinder escapement, three-arm steel balance, fine florally engraved and pierced balance cock with mascaron, chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, Louis XVI hands. Gold and enamel outer case, florally engraved, cobalt blue enamelled inlays, pierced edges, case maker’s mark PG, large lateral hinge, the inner case richly engravedon the back, the depiction of a bird and a rocaille, pierced band, ornamented with an engraved mask and a landscape, pusher for repetition through the pendant, rear bell. Movement signed.
