John Fladgate was an English clockmaker who completed his apprenticeship in 1743. He was probably born around 1720 and became a member of the Clockmakers Company. His business was located in Conduit Street and he was a business partner of Richard Willder until 1785. John Fladgate died in 1781 and his widow continued the business until 1793. The British Museum has a wall clock and a pocket watch by Fladgate in its collection.
