An extremely rare hunting cased minute repeating pocket watch with jumping centre seconds, circa 1898. 18k gold case, smooth, gold dome, case maker punch mark “AS”, pusher for chronograph at “12”, slide for repeating mechanism. Dial is enamel, sunk center and auxiliary seconds, blued spade hands. 4/5 plate movement, frosted, gilt, chatoned, blued screws, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, 2 barrels with tandem wind and 2 matted click on the top, English lever escapement, gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring, fine florally engraved balance cock, chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
