A pair cased verge watch in nearly like new condition, made by John Baker in London, England, circa 1770. This numbered open faced watch is crafted from gilt and is pair cased with an inner case of gilt and the master’s mark IN. The white enamel dial has black Roman hour numerals and original hands. The very fine quality movement has a verge escapement and a diamond end stone.
The movement is signed.

The special feature of the watch is its condition. There are hardly any watches from this period that are in such fantastic condition, especially with a tortoise shell case.
