A splendid, early pair cased verge watch 1/8 repeater by Charles Cabrier London, circa 1740.  Pair cased, silver, both cases in nice quality, first case with flower relief, pierced; second case also decorated with flowers and rich rocaille, bell, verge movement with grotesque face, signed, repeating hours and quarters and eights with very nice sound, originally with muting device, well kept enamel dial, decorative gilt hands, roman numerals, movement intact, overall very nice condition, high-quality collection, important watchmaker, noted 1719 – 1772.
