An important Swiss silver and 18K pink gold keyless pocket chronometer with Guillaume balance, circa 1912. One of 360 pieces made in 1912 for inclusion in Observatory trials. A solid, polished case, pink gold bezel thumb piece and hinges, hinged silver cuvette. White enamel dial with bold Paris numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds. Observatoire, frosted gilt movement, 21 sapphire jewels, Guillaume balance with gold and platinum timing screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring with Philipps double terminal curves, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Case, dial and movement signed. This watch is sold with a box and certificate of authenticity.
