A very fine, heavy pair-cased half quarter repeating verge pocket watch with outer “repoussé” case – with florally engraved watch key, outer case – gold, pierced, edges with lavishly engraved foliage, in the center portrait of a Roman emperor made in repoussé, large lateral hinge and the inner case – gold, lateral florally engraved and decorated with birds and a grotesque face, pierced. The dial is gold, Champlevé technique, radial Roman numerals, the center engraved in high relief, blued steel “Poker & Beetle” hands and also full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, applied engraved ornaments, chain/fusee, florally engraved barrel, 1 hammer, bell, Egyptian movement pillars with silver appliques, signed, blued screws, three-arm steel balance, engraved pierced balance cock with grotesque face and the coat-of-arms of the British monarch, silver regulator disc.
