A fine Swiss gold, champlevé, enamel, diamond and turquoise set hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1850.
Gilt cylinder movement. Gold signed and numbered cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute track, and Breguet hands. The front cover with centred monogram highlighted with rose-cut diamonds surmounted with a diamond set coronet, turquoise and rose-cut diamonds set to each quarter, both bezels with black enamel and Greek key pattern design, back cover similarly decorated but with a turquoise surrounded by rose-cut diamonds to the centre. Dial and cuvette signed. Cuvette numbered 3572, case maker’s mark HF‘(probably Hugh Fishwick).
