A fine Swiss, 18K yellow gold, thin, keyless Art Deco dress watch, circa 1915. Made for Bunde & Upmeyer Co., Milwaukee, Wis. A polished case, hinged gold cuvette with dedication inscription Otto Foeste from Mother and Flo, 1917. Silvered dial with applied gold radial Arabic numerals, outer dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Gold fancy hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 18 blue sapphire jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial case and movement signed, cuvette signed for the retailer.
