A Swiss 18 carat gold, garnet set keyless pendant watch with gold and diamonds detachable chatelaine en suite, circa 1790. A Louis XVI case by PDM, back with oval medallion painted on enamel with Cupids, courting doves, border with paste set applied multi colored enamel decoration forming a foliate swag, enamel decoration bezel. Châtelaine: heavy gold chatelaine set with a matching large oval garnet cabochon. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute dot divisions with five minute Arabic numerals, winding aperture at 1 and gold diamonds set hands. Frosted gilt, full plate movemen with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation disc. Dial and movement signed.
