A French 18 carat multicolour gold open faced key wind pocket watch made by Jean-Antoine Lépine in Paris, circa 1790. The gilt full plate movement is fitted with a verge escapement, plain three arm balance, pierced and engraved bridge cock with a polished steel coqueret and silver regulator disc with a blued steel indicator. White enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals, outer minute divisions and fine replaced stone set silver hands. The case with a decoratively engraved back, an engraved stone set front bezel, and plain pendant and bow. Movement signed.
