An exclusive French 18 carat gold and enamel pearl set pocket watch, circa 1790. Gilt brass full plate movement with round pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, silver regulation disc with copper indicator, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass pierced and engraved bridge cock with polished steel coqueret.
The case with a double row of split pearl set bezels, the back enamel panel painted with a scene of a seated man in a landscape who is fishing in the lake, the panel is surrounded by a translucent royal blue background and a paillon border. Push button on top of the pendant to open the spring loaded front.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer minute divisions and gold hands.
