A magnificent, heavy French full hunter pocket watch with a magnificent case and anchor chronometer, circa 1880.
High-quality anchor chronometer with special long anchor and chronometer balance. Beautifully enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and blued steel hands. Extremely splendidly engraved 18K gold case, depictions of musical instruments and floral motifs on both sides, oval enamelled cartridge with pinstripe decoration on both sides. Dome inscribed, and movement signed.
