A fine and rare French gentleman’s quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1810. This watch features an 18-carat gold engine-turned case with a reeded band, marked with the case maker’s punch mark LC and equipped with a pusher for repetition via the pendant. The white enamel dial showcases Arabic Empire numerals and elegant blued Breguet hands. The watch’s movement is a full plate design, keywind, frosted and gilt, with two hammers and two gongs, a cylinder escapement, a three-arm brass balance, and a beautifully engraved and pierced balance bridge adorned with floral motifs.
