A French gold and enamel open faced quarter repeating à toc verge watch with a portrait of Louis the XVl, circa 1790. Full plate gilt finished verge movement, chain fusée, three armed balance pierced and engraved bridge cock, silvered regulator disc with blued steel indicator.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic numerals, gold poker and beetle hands. Case back with a polychrome enamel portrait of Louis the XVl. Movement signed.
