An extraordinary diamond-set fob watch in the shape of a padlock, circa 1880.
Gold case, hinged bow, opaque black enamelled front cover with hinge, diamond-set keyhole motif to the centre, engraved monogram R on the back side, inside case back with glazed cover to insert a picture, signed and numbered heart-shaped gold dome. Enamel dial with radial Roman numerals and Breguet hands. Heart-shaped bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance.
