Gold and enamel pendant watch

A very fine and extremely rare French 22K gold and enamel one-handed verge pendant watch from the school of Blois, circa 1650. The case with polychrome enamel summer flowers against a white enamel ground, the interior with a landscape of trees and a river with the figures of a wanderer and an angler in front of a ruin, a ball-shaped pendant with ring. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals and blued steel hand. Gilt frosted full plate movement, key-winding, chain and fusee, baluster movement pillars, applied blued iron click work, plain two-arm iron balance without balance spring, very finely florally engraved, pierced balance cock.
