Unsigned gold keywind open faced pocket watch

A French gold, enamel, pearl and diamond set open faced keywind verge pocket watch, circa 1790. This watch features a gilded full plate movement with a verge escapement, a pierced and engraved balance cock with a sunburst foot, a fusee and chain, and is numbered 700. The white enamel dial features Roman numerals for hours, an outer minute track with Arabic numerals marking five minute intervals, a winding hole at 3 o’clock, and gold beetle and poker hands. The gold case has pearl set bezels on both sides and a diamond monogram LR on a dark blue guilloché background.

The dial is in good condition with a few minor marks. The movement is running smoothly. The case is generally in good condition, with only minor scratches on the blue reverse enamel.
