An extremely rare, decorative gold enamel verge pocket watch with box, circa 1810. 18k gold case, the glazed back cover with a very finely painted, opaque polychrome enamel portrait of a young beauty, wearing a veil against an engine-turned and cobalt blue enamelled background, half-pearl set crescent, Champlevé enamelled edges and pendant. Dial is enamel, Arabic numerals, Breguet hands.
