A fine, large Swiss, 18K gold half-hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1895. A keyless minute repeater with a chronograph. An engine-turned case with polished borders, the front cover with radial blue Roman numerals and an inner minute track around the aperture. Hinged gold cuvette with engraved foliate monogram over a glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost fifths of a second division, subsidiary seconds dial and blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, 23 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial signed G.A.C. Equator.
