A fine and rare French gold and enamel open faced pocket watch made for the Turkish market, circa 1820, Lepine-style gilt brass cylinder escapement jewelled movement, mono-metallic balance.
White enamel dial, Turkish numerals, Breguet hands, outer minute track, engraved yellow gold cuvette, bezel decorated with polychrome champlevé enamel, back in pink enamel with polychrome champlevé enamel decoration and translucent enamel over engraving, polychrome enamel painted flowers to the centre, cuvette signed Le Roy A Paris.
