A fine and elegant Swiss 18K gold and enamel keyless cylinder lady’s pendant watch, circa 1903. Made for the anniversary of the Grand Conseil Vaudois Swiss, Liberte et Patrie, 1803-1903. Case entirely engraved, the back cover decorated with a finely painted enamel scene of Liberty and a Vaudoise girl, a Swiss alpine lake view with opalescent sky in the background, engraved foliate border, 1803-1903 in black champlevé enamel. Hinged metal cuvette. Off-white enamel dial, radial blue Roman numerals, outer gold minute divisions and gilt Louis XV hands. A matte gilt movement, bar calibre, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator.
