A large red gold pocket watch with hour strike and hour repeater as so called clock watch, made by Cartier in Paris, France, circa 1820. The open faced case is crafted from 18 Carat red gold, is engine turned on the back and has a coin edge. The white enamel front has a decentralized dial with Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, blued Breguet steel hands and two winding openings for the movement and striking mechanism. The movement has a bell and a verge escapement.
