Fire gilt coach clock

A French fire gilded brass open faced quarter repeating coach clock with quarter hour/hour strike, alarm and date made by Lépine in Paris, circa 1800. The case is decoratively engraved and pierced, and has a rear bell. The white enamel dial has bold Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals, a central Arabic chapter ring for the alarm, an aperture for the date at 6 o’clock and decorative hands. The full plate movement is fitted with one barrel, chain and fusee for the going train, three florally engraved barrels for the striking and alarm train, four hammers,
a verge escapement and five arm brass balance. The movement is signed and numbered.
