A French gold quarter repeating hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1880. This pocket watch showcases an 18 carat gold case that is beautifully adorned with floral engravings and an engine-turned pattern. The case is of the à goutte style and features a numbered and signed gold dome and a slide for the repeating mechanism. The enamel dial displays radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, and elegant gold Louis XV hands. The watch has a bridge movement, is rhodium-plated, and is decorated with fausses côtes. It includes two hammers, two gongs, a pink gold train, wolfteeth winding wheels, a gold screw compensation balance, and a counterpoised lever.
