A French remarkable decorative gentleman’s pocket watch with visible balance and wooden box with inlay, circa 1810.
18 carat gold engine-turned case. Silver dial with applied chased gilt flower and foliate decor, peripheral hour dial with Roman numerals at “6”, peripheral window for visible paste-set balance at “12” and blued lozenge hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, with going barrel and cylinder escapement.
