A very fine French quarter repeating pocket watch with cylinder escapement, circa 1820.
Gilt brass movement with standing barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance, flat balance spring, repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Case with polished back and concave bezel, engine-turned band, gilt cuvette.
White enamel dial with Breguet numerals and outer minute divisions. Blued steel serpentine hands. Cuvette signed, case punched JJC.
