A French gold, enamel and pearl-set verge pocket watch with corresponding detachable gold, enamel and pearl chatelaine, circa 1790.
Case with invisible hinge, pendant with opening button, both sides with enamel, changing colour from green to cobalt blue in different lights. Full plate fire gilt movement with verge escapement and pierced and engraved cock. Enamel dial with red signature, Arabic numerals, outer minutes track with fifteen minutes numerals, and gold hands. Corresponding original 18-carat gold chatelaine, also enamelled on both sides. Dial signed and Movement signed and numbered.
