A rare French pocket watch with two time zones and independent jumping centre seconds, circa 1840.
18-carat gold engine-turned monogrammed case with numbered and signed gold dome. Inner lid with presentation engraving: J. Qunicey Jr. from J. Mason Warren 1856. Enamel regulator dial with eccentric radial Roman hour indicator I-XII and Arabic hour indicator 1-12, independent jumping centre seconds with stopping device, auxiliary seconds and Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, two going barrels with click works, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, shock protection parachute and temperature-compensating balance spring.
