A precision watch made by Julius Assmann in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1900. The numbered, open faced, plain case of this watch was crafted from 14 carat gold and has a cuvette with a dedication engraving Dr Hattemer Hamburg 28. Febr. 1897-1912. The white enamel dial features black Arabic hours, an outer minute track, outermost red Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and original gold hands. The precision movement is equipped with a Glashütte lever escapement, gold lever, gold escape wheel and fine adjusting device.
