Hunting cased pocket watch by J. Assmann

A German splendour full hunter cased Glashütte pocket watch with original box and original certificate, circa 1900. Surrounded by flower scrolls and garlands Flora, goddess of flowers and the season of spring, stands on a pedestal with a flower sceptre in her hand. The back is decorated with matching ornaments and has a vase with beautiful flowers in the center. Against the black enamel background the fine motif appears almost three dimensional.
A 14 Carat rose gold case, niëllo decoration, black enamel, the front lid with the depiction of Flora, the back lid with floral decor, case band with engraved tendrils, gold cuvette. An enamel dial, 3/4 plate movement and gold screw compensation balance.
