According to Martin Huber’s Long List, this watch was subjected to a special rate test at the Leipzig Observatory and the German Maritime Observatory in Hamburg. It comes from a series of around 1000 watches that were tested at the Leipzig Observatory between 1883 and 1905, but only around half of them are marked as ‘tested’ in the workbooks.
