An early German repoussé pair cased spindle watch, circa 1750.
Two cases: outer case Repoussé, very nice work, in the centre a nobleman with his hunting dog, edge decorated with animal motifs and fruit baskets; inner case smooth, master’s mark HB in a heart-shaped cartridge. Early German spindle movement, plate signed: W.E. Akerman. Enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic fifteen minutes numerals, and gold-plated hands.
