A German quarter repeating verge pocket watch with very finely painted enamel dial, circa 1790.
Silver tiered and engine turned case with reeded band, repetition via pendant and slide to set repetition or silence. Enamel dial with polychrome painted scenes showing putti dedicated to the four seasons, Arabic numerals and blued Scotties hands. Full plate movement, keywind, frosted and gilt, with chain/fusee, two hammers / two gongs, three-arm brass balance and engraved pierced balance bridge.
